Calling all brave and courageous individuals! The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is looking for a few good men and women to join our team. We are seeking those who have the courage, strength, and determination to protect life, property, and natural resources from wildland fires.
As a CAL FIRE firefighter you will be part of an elite group of professionals dedicated to protecting the people of California from devastating wildfires. You will be trained in fire suppression techniques as well as search-and-rescue operations. You must also possess excellent physical fitness skills in order to perform your duties safely and effectively.
We are looking for individuals with strong leadership qualities who can work independently or as part of a team in challenging situations. Our firefighters must also demonstrate excellent communication skills when dealing with other emergency personnel or members of the public during times of crisis.
